Joan of Arc – Royal Protectors Series | Official Renaissance Collector Card
The Maid Who Saved a Kingdom
Joan of Arc was a teenage peasant girl from Domrémy who heard the voices of saints, walked into the court of the uncrowned King of France, and proceeded to turn the tide of the Hundred Years’ War — one of the most astonishing stories in all of human history.
In 1429, at just 17 years old, Joan led the French army to a decisive victory at the Siege of Orléans, breaking an English stranglehold that had seemed unbreakable, and personally escorted the Dauphin Charles to Reims to be crowned King Charles VII of France. She was the ultimate royal protector — not a knight by birth or training, but by divine conviction and sheer force of will. Captured by the Burgundians, sold to the English, and burned at the stake in 1431 at the age of 19, she was canonized as a saint in 1920. France never forgot her.
