Andrew Moray – Legendary Scots Series | Official Renaissance Collector Card
The Forgotten Hero of Stirling Bridge
Andrew Moray is one of the most underappreciated heroes in Scottish history — the co-commander alongside William Wallace at the Battle of Stirling Bridge in 1297, whose brilliant tactical mind was equally responsible for Scotland’s greatest military triumph, yet who history has largely overshadowed in favor of his more famous partner.
While Wallace led the rebellion in the south, Moray had already ignited a fierce uprising in the north of Scotland, capturing castle after castle from English forces with remarkable speed and skill. Together, the two commanders forged the strategy that destroyed the English army at Stirling Bridge. Moray was gravely wounded in the battle and died shortly after — never living to see the freedom he helped win. His name deserves to stand beside Wallace’s forever.
