Queen Emma of Normandy – Vikings Series | Official Renaissance Collector Card
The Queen Who Crowned Two Kings
Queen Emma of Normandy was the most powerful woman in 11th-century Europe — a Norman princess of Viking descent who became Queen of England not once, but twice, first as wife of King Ethelred the Unready, and then as wife of the Viking conqueror Cnut the Great.
A masterful political survivor, Emma navigated invasions, dynastic upheaval, and exile with remarkable skill. She even commissioned her own biography, the Encomium Emmae Reginae, making her one of the first medieval queens to shape her own historical narrative.
